About Lessons

Online Lessons

I teach private voice lessons online and in person.

Each lesson is tailored to the students individual needs, whether you're an absolute beginner or an experienced singer.

From your first lesson, I will advise a plan of action to help achieve your goals. I'll recommend exercises and techniques that provide solutions to any current obstacles and that guide your path towards success in the most efficient way possible.

You'll always have clear guidance on what to work on and the tools to set you up for success.

I'll build you a warm up/voice workout routine tailored to your voice. At the end of each lesson, I will advise you on the warmups and techniques to keep practicing before the next lesson.

We work on material of your choice or I'm happy to suggest songs for your voice and voice goals!

About your Teacher...

Suzanne gained her BA in Theatre Arts at the renowned London Studio Centre in the UK. She was the proud winner of the "Shelia O'Neil Award" for best triple threat her graduating year.

As a working professional, you can hear her voice and songs on TV shows including: F is for Family, Locke and Key (Netflix), Walker (CW) and Feature film Lovers Retreat.

Suzanne is also a recording and touring artist with her band released her debut album in 2022 to critical acclaim.

Suzanne has been teaching voice for 8 years, working with children and adults of all abilities. She is the creator of two online singing courses "Sing High Notes with Power! A Masterclass in Belting" and "Singing for Beginners".

Her passion as a teacher is to demystify the voice and give the student the confidence on knowing how to use their instrument. Always learning from her professional singing work, she's able to give students real world knowledge for those interested in embarking on a career using their voice.

I started lessons at Voice Studio about a year and and half ago. When I started I was not singing properly and, in turn, was damaging my voice while doing small tours and shows I’d put together on my own. But the instructor, Suzanne May, turned me around completely in a very short period of time. I got really serious about these lessons (4 lessons a month) and about 6 months or so into lessons here my voice entered a three octave range — and got me the attention of a larger local band. Suzanne helped me prep for my audition and learn their songs, and with her help I got the gig!! Since then, I’ve opened for “Journey” in-front of 23,000 people, I’ve played an NFL halftime show in a Coliseum for 50,000 people (Oakland Raiders) and I’m currently half way through a World Tour. Our Japan and U.S dates are done, and we’re heading to Europe next! I still do lessons with Suzanne as often as I can, without her and Voice Studio, I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing now.
